A bit creepily, you can also turn off forwarding announcements and lockdown the app with a password, allowing messages to be copied without the primary user’s knowing. If you’re a concerned parent, this is the app you’ve been waiting for. If you’re a sneaky stalker, you might want to rethink your methods. But no matter what your intentions, SMS Forwarder Pro performed flawless during my review: Messages were sent along crisply and in their full glory. Devoid of any lag, this app is rock-solid and fully baked.

SMS Forwarder Pro keeps things mercifully simple: There’s one large power button at the home screen that, when pressed, turns on message forwarding. When left alone, the app will do nothing, allowing the phone to function as par for the course. All of the settings are a Menu button away, and are neatly categorized for review. But though navigating the app’s functions is easy enough, SMS Forwarder Pro is not without its areas for improvement. Seeing MMS messages integrated into the mix would be a tremendous boon, especially for any over-protective parents worried about rampant sexting.
